Keep Your Spirit Alive
Friday 13th March

I've been listening to a podcast on Spotify today (A New Way of Being - Simon Mundie - TRE:  The Practice That's Helped Me Calm My Nervous System).

It  features David Bercelli (I never get tired of listening to him - such an amazing person!), and this quote really stuck with me, so I wanted to share it.  It is from a book by Bradford Keaney, called "Shaking Medicine" and it is from an African tribe.

"When the shake is truely valued and protected, it will keep the spirit alive.

Through shaking, the tight grip of any totalising ideaolgy is loosened.

Shaking is a medicine to help prevent the hardening of conceptual categories - it keeps our vessel open for the spirit to flow through.

Shaking helps keep us a hollow tube, and an empty vessel.  It is not only our bodies that need to be shaken - our words and meanings must also shake.

When the spirit moves through us, everything will shake - our understandings, our actions and experiences.

We must shake, in order to set free our mind, body and soul"

I'm just imagining how the world and humanity may look if we were all able to do this... likely very different from how it is at the moment!

I feel so blessed to be able to share TRE with others and hope it keeps growing, expanding and becoming more well known, so more people can experience it's magic, and the positive changes it can make in your body and psyche.

I truely believe it has the power to change the world, one nervous system at a time.  I noted the change in myself and others... a shift in how you feel, behave and interact with each other.  It's a softening... your heart re-opens, as does your mind... you become less reactive and ego driven - and don't we need that right now?

Exciting!

Here's a video of Simon experiencing TRE, facilitated by David:
